My exhibit at Wheatfields in Lawrence ended last Saturday. It’s a good place to show art because it is relatively easy to hang, the show lasts for two months, and it is a very popular restaurant, both for its menu and its bread (wheat walnut raisin is our favorite), and best of all its patrons seem to appreciate art and occasionally buy it.
Once again the person who had agreed to help me did not do so. Thank goodness husband was willing to fill in. Best of all I’ve sold two paintings from that show, “Nursery Garden” (new this year) and “Ted and Chris’s Sunflowers.”
At my easel: It was too hot last week to paint outside so I painted with a country artist at her studio and finished “Beside the Kaw,” which I’ll add to the Lawrence page in a day or two.
